General Questions
Q: Can I use Reemote for Airfoil with my Windows PC ?
A: Unfortunately not, Reemote currently only works on the Mac.
Q: Will there be a Windows version in the future ?
A: Maybe, but I don't have any specific plans at this point.
Q: Will there be an Android version in the future ?
A: There is a prototype, but I don't have any specific plans for an official release at this point. If you're interested, please contact me.
Q: Which sources can be controlled with Reemote ?
A: Currently the following sources support remote control: iTunes, Spotify, Rdio, Pandoras Box, Last.fm, Winamp for Mac, MOG, Sonora for Mac, Musicality, Cog, VLC, Quicktime and Realplayer.
Some features aren't working...
Q: Reemote does connect, but displays "No controls available", whats wrong ?
A: As mentioned before, remote control is only supported for the following sources: iTunes, Spotify, Rdio, Pandoras Box, Last.fm, Winamp for Mac, MOG, Sonora for Mac, Musicality, Cog, VLC, Cog, Quicktime and Realplayer.
Q: Reemote displays only some of my sources, but some are missing ?
A: Try scrolling the list of speakers.
Reemote wont work at all...
Q: Reemote is crashing shortly after connecting.
A: There's a bug related to Airfoil that will cause this, see here for a simple fix.
Q: Reemote cannot connect to the server, what can I do ?
A: There's a number of possible reasons, in order to determine what's causing the problems please try the following:
- Make sure you have all the latest versions installed, for the iOS Apps, just check the AppStore, for the ReemoteServer open the menu and select "Check for updates..."
- Make sure the ReemoteServer is up and running on the same machine as Airfoil itself. If you don't have the ReemoteServer installed yet, get it here
- Try restarting the server on your Mac and then restart the App on you iOS device. You can do so by removing it from the multitasking bar.
- Run the Reemote Client Test on your Mac and iOS device(s) as described here.
- If all tests pass but Reemote still wont connect try temporarily disabling your firewall, then try again to see if there's a conflict.
- If it still wont work try manually configuring your Reemote as described here.
- If you got this far without any luck please contact me and I will personally take car of it, no matter what it takes!

Q: What port is the Reemote Server operating on ?
A: As of version 1.2.5 the Reemote Server is using tcp-port 50123
Q: Can I use Reemote for Airfoil with my Windows PC ?
